Established in October 2008 by Benjamin Farnsworth, Luke Royffe, Viktor Westerdahl and Rebecca Fode, _schoolTEN has existed for two years at premises in Highbury, London.
The project has succeeded in providing over sixty young architects, fine artists and other craftspeople with below-market-rate studio space in a part of central London often associated with high prices.
During our time in Highbury we have endeavoured to foster an ongoing, interdisciplinary conversation so that, for example, student architects, practicing fine artists and others were able to learn from practitioners in different creative disciplines.
After two succesful years, _schoolTEN's lease on the Highbury studios has now come to an end - the owner of the property is planning to redevelop the space for flats.
The founders continue to work on projects both here in London and, increasingly, overseas.
